STUDIO & EVENT POLICY
Please treat the studio, furniture, equipment and styling props with care throughout your booking. The Loft features handcrafted limewashed walls, microcement finishes and bespoke architectural elements, while The Lab includes a professional cyclorama wall, backdrop systems and production equipment. These finishes require careful handling to maintain their appearance. Any damage requiring repair, restoration or replacement may result in additional charges.
For the safety and security of our guests and equipment, CCTV operates throughout the studio. Where appropriate and agreed in advance, cameras may be temporarily repositioned to provide additional privacy during your session without compromising the security of the premises
Furniture, décor and styling props may be moved to suit your shoot. Please:
- Lift furniture instead of dragging it.
- Return everything to its original position before leaving.
- Ask a member of our team if you require assistance moving larger items.
Damage resulting from improper handling may incur repair or replacement charges.
Please help us preserve the quality of the studio by observing the following:
- Do not attach tape, Blu Tack, nails, screws or adhesives to any walls, arches or ceilings.
- Do not drill into or modify any part of the building.
- Avoid placing sharp or heavy objects directly onto furniture or finished surfaces.
- Please take extra care around the cyclorama wall, limewashed walls and microcement finishes.
Any restoration work required may incur additional charges.
Outdoor shoes must not be worn on sofas, cushions, rugs, seating areas or styling furniture. If your shoot requires shoes on furniture or platforms, please ensure they are clean or protected before use. We recommend bringing a clean pair of indoor shoes where possible.
New or unwashed garments—particularly dark, heavily dyed or non-colourfast fabrics—can transfer colour onto furniture and soft furnishings. If colour transfer occurs, professional cleaning or replacement costs may apply. Cleaning charges typically start from £150, depending on the severity of the staining.
Food and drinks are welcome. Please consume them responsibly and help keep the studio clean. A kitchenette is available for your convenience. Please avoid placing food or drinks directly on upholstered furniture or decorative styling pieces.
Children are welcome but must remain under adult supervision at all times. Please note that the studio is not child-proof, and parents or guardians remain responsible for their safety throughout the booking.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. A £50 refundable pet security deposit is required for all pet bookings. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring no damage occurs to the studio or furnishings.
Professional studio equipment should be handled with care. Clients are responsible for its safe use and must report any faults or damage immediately. Please do not adjust or dismantle fixed studio equipment without permission.
The dedicated podcast station is available for bookings that include podcast recording. Please do not move, disconnect or alter microphones, cameras, lighting or recording equipment unless this forms part of your booking or has been authorised by a member of our team.
The following items are not permitted without prior written approval:
- Confetti
- Glitter
- Smoke machines
- Dry ice
- Coloured powders
- Wax candles
- Open flames
- Sparklers
- Fireworks
- Any material likely to stain or damage studio finishes
If approval is granted, additional cleaning or damage deposits may apply.
For private events, workshops and gatherings, clients are responsible for ensuring that guests respect the studio and its contents throughout the booking. Where applicable, event bookings require a £150 refundable damage deposit, returned following a satisfactory post-event inspection. Any additional cleaning, damage or missing items may be deducted from this deposit.
Your booking includes both setup and pack-down time.
Before leaving, please ensure:
- Furniture and props are returned to their original locations.
- Waste is bagged and placed in the designated bins.
- Personal belongings are removed.
- Food and drink waste is disposed of appropriately.
- The studio is left in the same condition it was found.
Excessive cleaning requirements may incur charges starting from £100.
A brief inspection will be carried out before or immediately after your booking ends. Please allow sufficient time within your booking to restore the studio before your allocated finish time.
Please ensure you vacate the studio promptly at the end of your booking. Additional time spent in the studio beyond your reserved booking period may be charged, and where applicable, may result in the loss of your security deposit.
If anything is accidentally damaged during your booking, please let us know immediately. We understand that accidents happen, and prompt reporting allows us to resolve issues quickly and fairly. Repair or replacement costs will be assessed based on the extent of the damage.
Access instructions will be sent via email once your booking has been confirmed. Please follow the access instructions carefully and do not share entry information with anyone outside your booking.
Our goal is to provide a clean, professional and inspiring environment where every creator can produce exceptional work. By respecting the studio and following these house rules, you help us maintain the high standards that all our clients enjoy. If you have any questions before or during your booking, we’re always happy to help.
Note
Any set-up & clean-up necessary for your shoot is your responsibility during your time booked. Please arrive & pack up on-time to be respectful of others. If there’s an appointment after you, we will let you know. Bookings that leave the space more than 5 minutes after their end-time will be automatically billed a £30 late-fee.
COVE
Any marks or scratches that require us to repaint after your hire will result in a £30 repaint fee. Shoe covers are provided upon arrival so that marks can be prevented. The cove can be freshly painted specifically for your booking for a fee of £30. (must be requested at least 24 hours in advance Monday to Friday and it must be for a morning hire that is our first hire of the day).

Yes. Many clients book both The Loft and The Lab during the same session to create a wider variety of content without changing venues. When booked together, you’ll receive a discounted rate compared to booking them separately.

Every booking includes private access to your selected studio, along with its available facilities, including:

Absolutely. We offer studio viewings by appointment. Simply get in touch to arrange a convenient time.
Bookings should normally be made at least 12 hours in advance to allow us time to prepare the studio.
If you require a last-minute booking, please contact us directly and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Your booking begins at your scheduled start time and ends at your scheduled finish time.
This includes arrival, setup, shooting, pack-down and returning the studio to its original condition. Please allow enough time within your booking to complete everything comfortably.
Yes. If the studio is available after your session, you may extend your booking at the standard hourly rate.
Studio Facilities
Yes. The Lab includes professional flash and continuous lighting, along with a movable backdrop system featuring over 20 Colorama paper colours.
If you require a specific backdrop colour, please contact us before your booking to confirm availability.
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your own cameras, lighting equipment and creative tools. Our studios are designed to support both experienced professionals and those just getting started.
Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and free onsite parking are available for every booking.
Yes. We regularly work with businesses, agencies and organisations producing branding photography, product launches, marketing campaigns, corporate headshots, podcasts and commercial video content.

Payments & Policies
Yes. A £30 refundable security deposit is required with every booking.
This is separate from your booking fee and covers overtime, additional cleaning or accidental damage. It will be refunded after your booking provided no deductions are required.
If the studio is available, we’ll do our best to extend your booking.
Unauthorized overtime may result in additional charges and may affect the return of your security deposit, so please ensure your session, including pack-down, is completed within your booked time.
Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking or no-shows are non-refundable.
